Terengganu govt to act against ticket touts

KUALA TERENGGANU: The state government will take action against any Terengganu Football Association officials who allegedly sold subsidised Malaysia Cup final tickets at a higher price to local fans.
Terengganu Youth and Sports Committee chairman Rozi Mamat said he has received calls from angry football fans stating that some Terengganu FA members were hoarding tickets.

“If the allegations are proven true, then those responsible will face the music.
“All fans deserve to watch the final between Terengganu and Negri Sembilan,” he said yesterday.
It is learnt some fans have alleged that some Terengganu FA officials have acted as ticket touts by selling the cup final tickets at least RM10 more than the stipulated RM25 for local fans.
Rozi said he would order Terengganu FA president Datuk Che Mat Jusoh to investigate the matter as soon as possible.

“The state government has already agreed to subsidise some 30,000 tickets so that fans can buy at RM25 instead of the original RM50,”
“Each of the 32 state constituencies are given 500 tickets each so that every fan can buy the ticket and watch the game live at the Shah Alam Stadium,” he said.
